Hi
I am in the process of making up a hood for an 1100 and should have completed it over the next week. If all goes to plan I will start producing these to order. They will cost £391 plus postage for a black hood, other colours will be available but these will cost more. I am trying to get hold of an old sprint hood and an LSR hood to use as a pattern and will then be able to make these at the same price. Please e-mail me if you are interested, have any questions or have an LSR or sprint hood that I can use.

I was the original builder (at the age of 17) of Magenta 1100, reg: CVW 441T. I only had the car for about 5 years before part exing it for a Mk1 Lotus Cortina. All these years later I'd very much like to track the car down - especially if it should be for sale!!

Hi!
I am interested in buying a Magenta, but my only worry is the lack of spares and lack of garages that service the Hydrolastic suspension.
Has anyone got any comments, or has anyone converted to "dry" suspension, and if so is it an easy job?
Many thanks,
Dave.

Front seats are from the Austin but you can use any that will fit. The dash is hand made by you with Austin 1100 or metro dials.

Matt
Graham Sykes Insurance 01395 266621.
Insured my Magenta 1100 for 180 quid with 12000 miles! They have also insure my 1300 for my mum and dad. They ask quite a few questions on the spec sheet after they give you a quote but they're all fairly straight forward, like tyres size and make, engine size carb type etc. Interesting they also include breakdown/recovery in their quote it is optional but for 20quid well worth it.

Hello
Does anyone have any information regarding Magenta Tarragon A607 EAJ, built at Leaholm by Lightspeed originally for 'Guidedogs for the Blind' - which originally ran on LPG. I recently acquired this vehicle, but have been unable to identify a chassis an or engine number.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
It was nice to see pics of RAJ 398X Magenta LSR - I used to own this car 20 odd years ago!
Is it still alive and well? - I'd love to hear from the present owner, if so and maybe have a few pics for nostalgia,
Cheers

Magenta 1100 depending on it's condition and completness should be worth between £150 - £600. If it is in A1 condition then maybe £750 - £800. If it is a 1300 then upto about £1000. These are My estimates. Cars have sold for more and less than these amounts. If like me you set you heart on a car then you set the amount YOU want to pay. The above is only a guide.
Simon.
